On March 15th, the Assistive Devices, Elderly Nursing & Rehabilitation Exchange Conference of the Care & Rehabilitation Expo China 2019, which took the second station into Henan following its first successful opening in Shandong, was successfully held at Dahe Jinyue Hotel in Zhengzhou.

Leaders from China Assistive Devices and Technology Center for Persons with Disabilities (CADTC), Henan Assistive Devices and Technology Center for Persons with Disabilities, Zhengzhou Assistive Devices and Technology Center for Persons with Disabilities, Henan Sports Medicine Institute, The Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, Guangzhou Poly Jinhan Exhibition Co., Ltd., representatives from nearly 50 enterprises such as Xiangyu, Yutong, Konita, Bonnie, Meidi, Musi, and Love Castle in Henan and its surrounding areas, as well as delegates from local renowned media including Dahe.cn, Dahe Health News, Kangzhiliao, Henan Health Net, Shangdu.com, attended the conference.
Chen Xiaolin, Director of Henan Assistive Devices and Technology Center for Persons with Disabilities, delivered a welcome speech and introduced the enormous demand for assistive devices in Henan, a province with a large aged and disabled population.
Tang Hongyuan, an associate researcher at Henan Sports Science Institute, shared a speech themed as “Exercise Rehabilitation and Braces”, introducing common sports injuries and the functions varying from support, protection to substitution of the braces.
Zhu Wei, Assistant General Manager of Guangzhou Poly Jinhan Exhibition Co., Ltd., announced the highlights of the CR Expo China 2019 in planning the exhibition area, the internationalization of the Expo, the participating brands, the concurrent activities, and the marketing throughout the year.
The participants fully communicated on the hot topics of assistive devices and technology for rehabilitation.
Tang Hongyuan, an associate researcher at Henan Institute of Sports Science, shared the theme of “Exercise Rehabilitation and Braces”, introducing common sports injuries, rehabilitation assessment mechanism and the functions varying from support, protection to substitution of the braces.
Xie Yi, Director of the Rehabilitation Medicine Engineering Department of The Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, expounded the development status of assistive devices for rehabilitation in Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan and the opportunities and challenges they were facing from the aspects of policy/financial support, supply & demand and intelligent development degree, with an emphasis on the application trends and prospects of intelligent and high-tech assistive devices.
Zhang Guotao, General Manager of the Marketing Center of Anyang Xiangyu Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., introduced the company’s exploration and achievements in the field of rehabilitation over the years, and shared its successful experience from a small company to an industry leader by continuously enriching the product categories based on market demand, with the production scale, reputation and influence growing each time it participated in the CR Expo.
In the final speech, Zhang Hongtao, Director of the Industry Promotion Office of CADTC, underlined the crucial measures of CR Expo 2019 in the preparation for the concurrent supporting conferences.

As reported, during the Expo, China Disabled Persons’ Federation is planning to cooperate with relevant organizations such as Rehabilitation International to hold the second “Belt and Road” theme activity of disability. At that time, leaders of the Working Committee on Disabled Persons of the China State Council and its member organizations, and foreign guests including representatives from departments on disability in “The Belt and Road” related countries and regions as well as members of the ASEM will gather together to advance exchanges for the inclusive development of disabled persons in “The Belt and Road” related countries and regions. The 3rd Global Conference on Assistive Devices and Technology will also be held at the same time, giving full play to its role as an exchange platform to promote cooperation and to boost the development of assistive devices and technology.
In addition, Global Cooperation on Assistive Technology will also hold a number of exchanges during the Expo, including not only standardized technology workshops, but also international trading and purchase symposiums, which the Cooperation will recruit large international buyers to attend to communicate with some exhibitors. The multiple high-level international conferences will assist the Expo to present a grand industry event with significant international influence, great appeal and rich content.
The Care & Rehabilitation Expo China 2019 will be held at Beijing National Convention Center from October 10th to 12th. Covering as much as 25,000 m2, the Expo is expected to attract 350 well-known companies from all over the world in the fields of rehabilitation, assistive devices and elderly nursing & health, and about 50,000 professional visitors will come to visit or purchase.
